This solitary benign tumor presents as a keratotic papule or nodule on the trunk of middle aged patients
  • Papillomatosis, epidermal hyperplasia with overlying hyperkeratosis
  • Prominent acantholysis throughout the epidermis
  • Mild superficial perivascular lymphocytic infiltrate.
  • Work-Up Considerations:

    • Diagnosis is made by histologic examination of skin biopsy specimen.

    Treatment:

    • This is a benign lesion
    • Additional therapy after confirmation of diagnosis is not medically necessary.
